Full Job Description

TXM are seeking a skilled Operations Project Manager to join our team. The right candidate will have experience of managing direct resources and subcontracts to deliver highways street lighting, technology and civils across the M25 J10.

This will be a 12-month contract position with a view to go permanent.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for H&S standards across all projects
  • This role is working on project site.
  • To be responsible for Quality, Environmental and Sustainability standards across their projects.
  • To be responsible for delivering projects, delivering project solutions to Budget, Time and Scope & Quality (i.e. technical) requirements.
  • To lead quality audits ensuring that policy and procedures are being
  • adhered to and managed appropriately. Ensure that there is a culture of
  • continuous improvement within the project team.
  • To lead in the scheduling and programming of works across the project lifecycle (Concept phase to Handover and Close) With the assigned Contract Manager for a project,
  • To oversee and manage overall project risk (Strategical, Financial, Operational, etc)
  • To manage matrix project teams to deliver various project delivery solutions (e.g. as Tier 2 contractor) effectively utilising in-house resource (white and blue collar) and sub-contract and supplier arrangements as appropriate.
  • To be commercially responsible, in liaison with the Contract Manager, for projects allocated and to achieve the margins identified.
  • To manage and ensure projects are handed over and closed in an appropriate manner (i.e. ensure that all documentation is completed and data is collated and transitioned to the PMO)
  • To work as part of a team to build on reputation, capability and delivering efficiently to ensure the projects team maintains a strong project pipeline and develop new leads and clients.
  • To hold line management responsibilities for employees within their project teams (e.g. HR responsibilities)
  • To be responsible for EDI within their project teams
  • To be responsible for their direct client management

The person:

  • Major Highways Civil Experience
  • Experiencing in managing a diverse team
  • Tunnel maintenance, Street Lighting, Smart highways experience.
