Protocol Engineer

Full Job Description

Our Partner is looking for a Protocol Engineer to contribute to the design and development of the fastest-growing layer-1 that is shaping the future of finance. They have recently received an additional 9-figure sum in funding to provide an interoperable smart contracts platform tailored for DeFi applications.

In this Protocol Engineer role, you will:

• Design, develop and maintain the layer-1 blockchain.
• Develop and optimise core components of the blockchain, including consensus, state management and financial infrastructure.
• Contribute to research and development of new features and blockchain technologies.
• Work closely with internal cross-functional teams, as well as external partners and communities to further enhance their ecosystem.

The ideal Protocol Engineer will have the following skills and experiences:

• Experience with protocol engineering in a blockchain setting
• Understanding of blockchain concepts, cryptography and consensus mechanisms
• Proficiency and production experience with Rust or Golang
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field
