Our sales teams are the face of Computacenter and are responsible for delivering high levels of customer satisfaction whilst growing our business. We are looking for ambitious individuals who would thrive on the opportunity to be a part of this and now have the need for a senior Public Sector Frameworks Director, supporting the efforts of a Sector growing beyond £400m of annual revenue.

As the Public Sector Frameworks Director you will be responsible for directing elements of our Framework growth strategy, coordinating marketing activity, and supporting our Sales and Legal teams in concluding new customer agreements. You will play a leading role in engaging with the Cabinet Office, Crown Commercial Service and other Framework bodies such as Scottish Procurement to fulfil our obligations as a Strategic Supplier to UK Government. You will work closely with our Public Sector Director and be part of the leadership team.

What you’ll do

SUPPORTING GROWTH

Marketing & Awareness

  • Marketing activity to promote Frameworks, working closely with our UK Marketing team; upon demand and proactive in advance.
  • Maintenance of our Public Sector internet/intranet site – ensuring ongoing, proactive marketing to our customers.
  • Maintenance of our Social Media presence – both for general marketing purposes and campaign specific, working closely with our UK Marketing team.
  • Responsible for internal communications plan


Pipeline Management

  • Proactive tracking of new frameworks
  • Frameworks spend analysis.
  • Whitespace’ analysis.
  • Competitive intelligence and analysis
  • Supporting the bidding for new Frameworks - acting as an independent advisor.

Education

  • Responsible for training around new Frameworks
  • Responsible for ongoing refresher sessions as required
  • Point of contact for new starters
  • Liaise with internal solutions teams to drive their knowledge around Frameworks
  • Maintenance of a central education library 

REPUTATIONAL PROTECTION

  • Proactive tracking of changing Social Value laws within Public Sector procurement.
  • Working closely with Internal Service Providers, Marketing, HR and our ESG advisors to help create compelling new Social Value propositions.
  • Working with your team, ensuring adherence to and completion of specific Social Value commitments within pan-government framework bids.


EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Own elements of our Strategic Supplier relationship with the Cabinet Office. Leading and assisting with the production of required management information, attending senior level meetings.
  • Senior level engagement with Frameworks in general, supporting the Public Sector Director as required.
  • Shaping generic Computacenter marketing and proposition material into something more be-spoke for our Public Sector customers.
  • Proactive briefing and marketing sessions for our customers, working closely with the Account, Service and Marketing teams.
  • TechUK monitoring – keeping abreast of new announcements, round tables, and advisory councils.

OPERATIONAL & FRAMEWORK GOVERNANCE

  • Responsibility for commercial analysis and supporting our contractual obligations for multiple Public Sector frameworks (both pan-government and customer specific). Such obligations will include (but not be limited to):
    • Framework KPI compliance.
    • Framework catalogues
    • Legal triage support
    • New supplier setup
    • Framework Audits
    • Management Information
  • Proactively tracking and understanding the impact of changing Public Sector procurement laws in collaboration with our Head of UK legal 
  • Organisation and leadership over new Framework launches to our sales and operational teams.

What you’ll need

  • Excellent Commercial and Contractual acumen with excellent Public Sector contracting and Framework experience.
  • Basic marketing and sales experience. 
  • Good legal and contracts knowledge and understanding.
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce and excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office portfolio.
  • Excellent writing skills and additional to detail is essential.
  • Proven research, writing and checking skills, with close attention to detail
  • Experience in using tender portals to upload tender submissions against deadlines an added advantage
  • Ability to influence and write persuasively
  • Good at working to deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and resourceful.
  • Manages own time and completes multiple tasks / assignments with potentially competing deadlines is essential.
