Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Pump Service Engineers based anywhere in England who would be interested in working for a leading engineering contractor which serves the power generation and heavy engineering sectors.

Working from home, you will attend power stations and power generation facilities across the country to assist in carrying out engineering works on and planned maintenance. You will be required to attend sites in the power sector at short notice and will involve staying away from home as per business needs.

Role Profile

• Working from home and attend client sites to carry out engineering tasks on pumps and power generation equipment.
• Tasks are related to mechanical fitting, associated with the overhaul, repair and testing of equipment including pumps, gearboxes, hydro turbines, electric motors and valves. Onsite duties include removal, installation and commissioning.
• To meet operational requirements you will be required to work away from home including weekends, at short notice when required. The business will endeavour to post Engineers to their nearest site geographically when possible.
• Working hours are 37 per week, typically working 10/12 hour shifts and every second weekend during outage periods.

Desired Engineer Profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Candidates must have right to work in the UK. Our client is not able to provide sponsorships at this time.
• Time served craftsperson in an appropriate engineering discipline.
• Experience of having worked within General engineering and Power Industries.
• Flexibility to work in both the UK and overseas.
• Contractors Safety Passport (CCNSG) Card or Country Specific Safety Passport Card.
• Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
• Current UK Passport and Valid Driving License are required.
• Must be an excellent communicator across various management and experience levels.
• Willingness to undertake any ad hoc or unskilled jobs which are necessary.
• This role will require you to be based within a customer base, throughout the UK, when required.
