Purchasing Administrator

About our Client
Our client, a well-known fast moving consumer goods supplier who sell to a number of channels including convenience stores, large chains & National retailers. You would be working within a fast pace environment whereby you would to have experience of dealing with chasing debts from large corporations /groups.

About the Role
We are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to work directly with their Head of Procurement.  Working in a busy department to ensure goods are purchased in an efficient and timely manner.  A very pivotal role in the procurement department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • Ability to use initiative, multi-task and prioritise daily workload
  • Ability to work with Senior Management and understands discretion and confidentiality
  • Previous Purchasing experience
Responsibilities
  • Creating POs on internal System (training given)
  • Administration for new products
  • New SKU creation
  • Monitoring of ETAs
  • Ensure New Line Form data is obtained and maintained
  • Obtaining Media assets
  • Communication with our clearing agent re Imports
  • Attending meetings with warehouse to advise of ETAs etc
  • Stock availability checks / procurement of goods for National Accounts Managers
  • Using shopify on occasion to input National Accounts clients orders
Administration of TPD submission
  • Booking in product testing
  • Collating batch number
  • Arranging goods to be dispatched

The ideal candidate:
  • Existing purchasing experience: - minimum 2 years
  • A proven track record of managing stock levels
  • Experience dealing with customers and suppliers directly 
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
