Location: Walsall

Contract: Full-time/Temporary - Day to Day, Short Term and Long Term

Salary: 150 - 210 per day dependant on experience

PWD Connect are currently recruiting Qualified Teachers to work in Secondary schools across the Walsall area. Roles are on a day to day, short term and long term basis.

Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Qualified Supply Teachers. The role is to cover the absence of school staff, which could be on a day to day basis or short term/long term. Lesson plans, class work, seating plans will all be prepared for you on arrival and your role will be to lead the class through the work that has been set whilst maintaining a good standard of behaviour. This role is ideal for someone who possesses a strong desire to make a positive impact in the lives of young people and is enthusiastic about working in the education sector. Candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in education and a willingness to learn and develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects within the secondary school curriculum.
  • Support students with their learning, providing guidance and encouragement as they progress academically.
  • Supervise students during lessons, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create engaging and interactive learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance with their studies.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources, including classroom displays and educational aids.
  • Uphold school policies and procedures, promoting positive behaviour and maintaining discipline within the classroom.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities as required.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community within the school.

Requirements:

  • PGCE, TRN or QTS qualification
  • Subject specialism
  • A genuine passion for education and a desire to work with young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the school.
  • Resilience and patience when working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
