Due to large growth in our work with the biggest names in technology and social media, we’re looking for someone ready to make the next step in their career – leading valuable projects, growing people and further expanding and innovating our work for clients.
This key role will draw on a mix of people-management, commercial and qualitative research skills. You’ll be responsible for the direct (and indirect) management and growth of people; for the quality and consistency of project delivery within your team; and for growing business through partnerships with clients and sector specialists throughout the organisation.
You will also help in the running of the qualitative team as a whole – helping the Senior Qualitative Team in devising and implementing cutting edge qual techniques; assisting in the implementation of tools and processes to build team capacity; and representing the qualitative team as a whole to internal stakeholders and at external events and conferences.
What will I be delivering?
- You will lead and manage some of our largest projects, building great relationships with clients and giving them the research expertise they need
- You will be a subject expert and a go to internal and external resource for advice, guidance and knowledge on qualitative methodology
- Create and grow strong and close working with internal commercial teams and quantitative sector units
- Work with the senior team to develop client accounts / key sectors
- Write proposals and develop new business opportunities, establish meaningful relationships with your existing client base
- Develop, propose and deliver innovative qualitative solutions to grow our clients based on your detailed understanding of methods and analytics
- Manage, mentor and lead researchers, nurturing them to progress in their careers
- Act as the project director for a variety of qualitative research projects, with a particular focus on commercial sectors from across the YouGov portfolio
- A true storyteller, you will bring the qual research to life, providing detailed insight and tying this into quantitative results, where applicable
- Ensure client satisfaction through ensuring accuracy and consistency of all Qualitative research projects
- Present our data at conferences, custom team meetings and client debriefs both in person, and via online communication and through written reports
What do I need to bring with me?
- A track record of high-quality qualitative research methodology, design and delivery
- A strong background in market research, ideally including some of the following sectors: Social & Digital media; Telecoms (DMT); Financial Services; Consumer; Retail
- Excellent track record of hitting personal and team targets
- Managing, developing and/or mentoring others
Technical skills and qualifications
- Ability to find creative and innovative solutions for complex and varied problems
- Excellent client focus and handling skills
- Ability to deliver results, meet deadlines and manage time effectively
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills
