Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Company’s headquarters as Quality Assurance Inspector. Successful candidate will become part of a global multi-technology manufacturer of high-end electronic equipment used by leading construction and utilities companies world-wide.

The Role
•    responsible for final quality assurance inspection of end of line batches of finished product to defined standards
•   management of non-conforming product, including liaising with suppliers 
•    recording and reporting of quality data
•   identifying and implementing improvements  
•    undertaking other quality functions (audits, 8D, complaint investigation)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

•    To inspect all ‘Q’ parts (PCB’s, mechanical, cable forms) at 100% frequency to the correct or latest issues specifications/engineering drawings
•   To inspect all ‘Red Channel’ parts (PCB’s, mechanical, cable forms) to sample plan frequency to the correct or latest issue specifications/engineering drawings
•    Ensure all Quality Control test and inspection equipment is calibrated and in working condition
•    To maintain in the Quality Control performance monitoring database and KPI’s
•    Work in accordance to the Control of Non-Confirming Product process
•    Work in accordance to the Quality Control Inspection process
•    Work in accordance to the Return Material Authorisation (RMA) process
•    Confirm the RMA is correct to the parts/product received
•    Update the IFS System
•    Distribute RMA to test/production for rework
•    Verification of rework
•    Distribute Return Note to Finance/Accounts
•    To inspect product build in production
•    To work in accordance to the Production Part Approval Process
•    To ensure that all drawings and specifications are to the latest issue
•    To contribute in the daily Scrap Meetings and Corrective and Preventative action process


The Person:
•    High attention to detail
•    Experienced in using standard Microsoft packages (Excels, Word, Access etc)
• Strong communication skills
•    Data analysis and presentation of findings to technical audiences
•    Experience in finished product inspection of electro-mechanical products
•    Use of basic Inspection equipment e.g. Vernier
•    Experience in ERP system will be an advantage
•    IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies and IPC-A-620 Acceptability of Cable and Wire Harnesses or similar strongly desirable
