Full Job Description
We are partnering with a manufacturing company seeking a Quality Engineer in Cambridge on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct Supplier Audits to ensure our suppliers meet and exceed quality standards through regular audits and assessments. Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
- Analyse supplier performance data to drive informed decisions. Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve supplier quality metrics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of quality processes throughout the supply chain.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives. Implement best practices to enhance overall supplier quality and efficiency.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues by conducting thorough root cause analysis. Implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
- Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is essential
- Expertise in supplier quality engineering or a similar position.
- It is advantageous to have knowledge about quality management systems and ISO standards.
- Knowledgeable in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, and IFS
- Capable of driving design decisions where repeatable manufacturability deliverables are required. Competent in design for manufacture.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- The capacity to forge close bonds with internal teams and vendors.
- Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to understand trends and data. It helps to be proficient with data analysis software.
