QUALITY ENGINEERS X3 - LEISTON, SUFFOLK ***COMPETITIVE SALARY!!***

VGC Energy part of VGC Group Limited are delighted to be recruiting for 3x Quality Engineers on a PERMANENT basis, site-based for Sizewell C Nuclear New Build in East Suffolk.

Hours per week: 42 per week

Monday to Thursday 9 hours/Friday 6 hours

QUALITY ENGINEER - RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To support deliver the project in accordance with customer and stakeholder requirements and commitments, including verification activities to demonstrate compliance against project requirements, external accreditations and industry good practice.
  • You will support the co-ordination, submission, compliance and management of all assurance activities and the resolution of assurance related issues.
  • Ensure implementation of procedures including submissions from the Supply Chain and establishing test and inspection plans for delivery of the works
  • Attend pre-start meetings for significant projects (either in terms of value, complexity or QA/QC requirements)
  • Support project teams in developing the quality plans / inspection & test plans are being followed and that customer/project requirements are being met, and review those from the supply chain.
  • Assist delivery teams in achieving the required deliverables, and managing issues as required, also providing Quality advice to the Supply Chain where appropriate
  • Use existing systems to allow sample and benchmark plans to be established and agreed with customers and supply chain
  • Use digital systems to monitor the performance of quality planning /production of quality deliverables / managing of issues against targets
  • Support the Project team in collating and delivering handover records as per requirements, on time
  • Working to the processes and procedures of the Business Management System
  • Support the Quality team during internal and external audits
  • Support the implementation of either project or business stream quality strategies, plans and actions cross the scope of services and full project lifecycle
  • Assist in training, coaching and developing quality skills, including sharing lessons learned
  • Support the establishment of a continual improvement culture
  • Support the undertaking of specific investigations and/or reporting on quality related issues as required
  • Support the use of appropriate digital toolset to support the project governance and quality assurance/measures on the project, including training of those tools
  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm and Right First Time

QUALITY ENGINEER - REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior Quality experience and/or relevant operational / technical experience to meet industry sector demands
  • Knowledge of ISO9000 Terminology
  • An understanding and commitment to Quality Management
  • Awareness of business improvement initiatives
  • Has an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts
  • Work to plans and programmes
  • Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion
  • Is good at building relationships and can influence effectively
  • Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective manner
  • Ability to challenge existing methods and ways of thinking
  • Able to work within a multi-discipline team

QUALITY ENGINEER - Qualifications & Experience

Fully proficient in modern office computer systems and technology e.g. Office 365 Level 4+ Qualification in Quality, Construction or Manufacturing (relevant industry) or PCQI

Desirable
Either a CQI Practitioner or working towards Practitioner status
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor trained
Awareness of sector specific certifications and their requirements
Experience in using Digital Progressive Assurance systems / Electronic Forms
Operational experience in construction or asset management.
