Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic civil engineeringcompany? We are seeking a motivated individual to join my clientsteam and play a key role inprojects across Greater Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including new housing developments, utilities installations, and commercial ventures.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis, procurement, and contract management to ensure projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to monitor project progress, identify potential cost variations, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Review and negotiate contracts, including variations and final accounts, to protect the company's interests and minimize financial risks.
  • Carry out site visits and inspections to assess progress, quality, and compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for project performance improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering sector, ideally with exposure to new housing developments, utilities projects, and commercial ventures.
  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Experience in groundworks and familiarity with relevant construction materials, processes, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with the confidence to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites across Greater Manchester.
