The opportunity

Project: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Rail division within our Transportation Business Unit. This is a privileged opportunity to support our continued growth with one of our Strategic Clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

•    Planning and managing the effective delivery of assigned projects. 
•   Providing direction and supervision to the assigned project delivery team and supporting staff. 
•    Ensuring that assigned projects are planned and managed in accordance with regulatory H&S standards, policies and procedures. 
•    Establishing and maintaining a good, professional, and pro-active working relationship with the Contractor/Delivery partner's project management team where applicable to ensure delivery of intended business benefits. 
•    Within agreed authority levels, negotiate, procure, and authorise all project contracts and variations.
•    Responsible for the financial cost management of the project(s), ensuring that works are completed within allocated budget and cost performance measures / indices are reported and adhered to. 
•    Ensuring compliance with relevant governance and other forms of assurance. 
•    Preparing and presenting periodic reports. 
•    Coordinating assigned projects with internal and external stakeholders. 

About you

You have a professional qualification in Project Management, such as PRINCE2 or APMP along with good knowledge and understanding of project and programme management methodologies and their practical application in a transport setting. 

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
