Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Broomgrove Trust Nursing Home for the position of Registered Nurse on days who possesses a genuine commitment to providing high quality nursing care within our care setting. This is a unique chance to work in a friendly and professional environment within our charitable organization. Our Clinical nurse manager and the other nurses on duty are always available to help(on every shift is a minimum of 2 nurses for our 40-bed unit). 

About you:

  • Registered General Nurse/ Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse/ Registered Mental health Nurse with a valid NMC pin (minimum 3 years)
  • Strong clinical skills
  • A professional, friendly attitude 
  • Quick learner, able to implement our staff values within the team
  • Motivated and enthusiastic on mentoring and coaching all the staff
  • Drive and focus to provide excellent customer service and quality of care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and an up to date understanding of care service practices, legislation, regulations and standards

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate, complete healthcare records and reports
  • Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions
  • Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
  • Recording patient vital signs and medical information
  • Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests
  • Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions
  • Administering non-intravenous medications
  • Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members
  • Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses

Hours


Day Nurse - Full time - 35 hours/ 5 days per week (including weekends)

There is flexibility offered to spread the hours through several days.

Shift 7:30 - 15:00 or 14:30 - 22:00, or you can work what we call a double shift 7:30 - 22:00(and work less days per week)

About Your benefits:

  • Salary - The rate of pay per hour now is £18.06 (£19.68 from April) (Mon-Fri) with a 20% enhancement at weekends (£21.67 now/ £23.62 from April).
  • New Bank holiday rate of pay will be £29.52 and Christmas day & New Year's day pay rate will be £39.36. 
  • 6 weeks holiday entitlement per year/ 30 days inclusive of bank holidays (after 5 years in service you receive additional holiday up to a maximum of 7 weeks per year)

Requirements - The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check through the Disclosure and Barring Service and Successful completion of a three-month probationary period.
