Full Job Description

Keen to make the most of your nursing skills and learn new ones?
Want a practice where your voice is heard?

With fully flexible hours, a generous training budget and the support to help you develop, joining Newark Vets for Pets might be your answer!

Our well-established practice sees a wide range of clinics and a variety of surgical procedures, so this is the perfect opportunity for someone wanting to broaden their experience.

Our nurses are veterinary professionals and as such we ensure that they are able to fulfil their clinical potential. We encourage and support our nurses to be skilled in more advanced nurse clinics and if you’re interested in mentoring and leadership there are also clinical coaching opportunities.

We’re also keen to support our nursing team to develop their skills, so if you would like to undertake an advanced certificate, we’ll happily support this.

You’ll be joining a hard-working and inclusive team who are passionate about being at the heart of the local community. Our practices have a team of talented Client Care Advisors to support the client journey, freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively. Our practice provides excellent facilities giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients. We are in a fantastic location with ample parking and great access to local amenities. You can see more by taking a tour here .

This position can be fully flexible hours, full or part time, with no out of hours or late nights. Weekend work is on a rota basis which is currently 1 in 2 weekends.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer all the benefits you’d expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home).

So, if you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare, exceptional customer service and would like to join our team, then we would love to hear from you.

Pets just see people. And just like pets, we embrace everyone’s differences. We work to break down barriers, attract and develop diverse talent, and create a culture that allows everyone to be the best they can be.

Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our group. So, if you think you’re a good match to what we are looking for, and you share our belief that together ‘we’re better with pets’, we’re waiting to hear from you, whatever your background or circumstances.
