Release/Final Engineer
Cheltenham
18.19 per hour - PAYE
6 Months Contract - Permanent opportunities

Brief Summary:
As a Release Engineer you will be working within the aerospace industry, you will be responsible for carrying out the final inspection of Repair & Overhaul (R&O) equipment ensuring parts adhere to the specification laid out within the CMM, generating, and signing the approved release certificates ensuring all customer, contract and regulatory requirements are observed.
Responsibilities:
- Final Inspection of assembled props, blades and control units to specification and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
- Generating all the relevant paperwork to complete final release of the product to the customer
- Ensuring traceability and compliance is maintained throughout the process.
- Supporting engineering/quality investigations and project work as and when required
- The candidate will need to have the ability and experience of working on mechanical and hydraulic components
- Using a variety of measuring equipment (Micrometres, shadow graph, hardness Vickers, verniers, height gauge, bore micrometre) to check parts are conforming to drawing requirements
- Checking and verifying Suppliers First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102B Forms)
- Assisting the Supplier Quality in gathering missing documents from Suppliers for example FAIR's
Qualifications/Experiences:
- Minimum 2 year's experience working in the aerospace industry
- Minimum of HNC Mechanical engineering or time served apprentice or similar level of the knowledge and experience.
- Inspection experience
- R&O build experience
- Good manual dexterity
