Full Job Description

Role: Bank Cook and Resident Support

Location: Weston-Super-Mare

Contract type: Bank/Zero Hour

Hourly Rate: £12.85

 

The Abbeyfield Society are a national charity helping to alleviate loneliness and isolation in older people by providing companionship in our supported housing accommodation, retirement apartments and care homes.  

At Abbeyfield , we want our residents to feel part of a community , where they feel empowered, safe and respected. Our staff offer a friendly face with guarantee of a tasty home cooked meal , in a clean and warm environment, so that our residents can enjoy their later years in comfort and with peace of mind.  

We are looking for someone to join our team, on a casual basis, covering staff holidays and sickness. Our bank workers play a fundamental part in e nsuring our residents have the support and reassurance that Abbeyfield strive to provide.  

This is a varied role that would be working within a small team, you will soon feel like one of the Abbeyfield family. You may be there to cook a tasty lunch and lighter tea in the late afternoon evening , or to ensure our residents ha ve tidy and safe communal spaces . It is t he little things you may do day to day, that can have such a positive impact on someone’s wellbeing .  

No paid kitchen experience needed, we are looking for someone that enjoys cooking for family or friend s . Our friendly and supportive teams will be there to guide you.
