Full Job Description

UE06: Salary range £32,982  to £38,205

CMVM/Edinburgh Medical School/Deanery of Biomedical Sciences/UK Dementia Research Institute

Full-time, 35 hours per week 

Fixed-Term, 3 years in first instance with possibility of extension.

The Opportunity:

Join the Hasel Lab as a Research Assistant at the Edinburgh Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences and UK Dementia Research Institute (see and help us explore how astrocytes at the borders of the brain contribute to brain function and dysfunction in disease.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • BSc or MSc earned or expected in a relevant discipline (neuroscience, biology, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and in good English, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Good organizational skills and time management.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills.
