Full Job Description
Resident Summer School Matron - Oxford
Summer Holiday Contract
(30th June to 10th August this year)
Salary: £30,000 per annum, pro
rata (which equates to £4182 gross over the summer school period),
plus Accommodation.
The Oxford Scholastica Academy is not just
any old summer school. We're an education company on a mission:
to inspire our students to discover, explore and prepare for what
their futures could hold - the courses they could study, the careers
they could enjoy, and the citizens they could be.
We're
striving for a world in which young people go on to do things which
maximise their potential, are socially impactful and make them
happy.
We help to do this by running summer programmes for
bright 12-18 year olds from around the world, giving them greater
awareness of the range of academic and career possibilities that
exist, and greater certainty over the future direction they wish to
pursue.
We run residential summer courses in Oxford, as well as
online programmes. In the summer, we aim to transform our
students' ambitions and their thinking in just two weeks. For our
students the Oxford Scholastica Academy is not just a summer school;
it's the most memorable summer of their lives. If this sounds like
something you are passionate about too, we'd welcome an
application from you.
We have a vacancy this summer for a
Matron for the Summer holidays. The Matron's role provides a
significant and important contribution to the overall welfare of the
pupils. The role also includes being the first point of call, as first
aider, if a pupil is feeling unwell, liaising closely with the
Pastoral team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and
flexible individual to join the organisation and a competitive rate of
pay is on offer commensurate with this important role.
We are
looking for a Matron who is willing to throw themselves into the
experience, actively participating in the programme to give the
students a memorable experience. The role requires working six days in
seven. This is a residential role, and onsite accommodation will be
provided.
