We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate sustainability professional to join our Group Responsible Business team, to help develop and ensuring delivery of Kingfisher’s climate change and nature commitments.

What's the job?
  • Lead all aspects of GHG emission data management and reporting on climate change as well as KPI tracking (e.g. on scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions).
  • Work closely with support of the Kingfisher Climate & Nature lead on the development and delivery of Kingfisher’s group climate change and nature commitments, programmes and policies (e.g. GHG emissions targets, climate transition planning, forest positive agenda).
  • Work closely with the Responsible Business reporting manager to lead on the annual collation, calculation and reporting of carbon data across the group, analysing data trends and ensuring data passes internal and external audit, working to improve data collection systems, ensuring our data and reporting meet legislative requirements.
  • Support the delivery of climate and nature-related disclosure, including TCFD, Climate Transition Plan, and any forthcoming nature-related disclosures (e.g. TNFD).
  • Work with the Investor Relations team to provide responses to investors on climate change and nature queries and lead on relevant investor indices including annual Climate Change and Forests CDP responses.
  • Support the climate and nature risk management process, including scenario modelling and risk reporting processes.
What you'll bring
  • Technical knowledge and experience of energy, carbon accounting and modelling, emissions calculations, including knowledge of the GHG protocol.
  • Experience working on climate change and nature agendas in a corporate setting. Experience in completing disclosures such as CDP preferable
  • Knowledge of scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, and experience working towards emissions-reduction KPIs.
  • Experienced in working with data and comfortable using excel spreadsheets as well as online data capture and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of certification schemes and industry standards such as FSC, PEFC, TNFD, SBTN a bonus
  • Ability to closely partner and manage internal & external relationships at all levels including executives, with the skill to bring people with opposing agendas together towards a common goal.
