Full Job Description
We have three vacancies for Ride-on
Drivers / Assistant Gardeners to help maintain and improve parks and
open spaces within the Borough of Fareham.
As part of a team you will:
- Maintain grass in our parks, along road verges and play areas following a set route
- Assist the grounds maintenance teams with winter open space tasks such as clearing leaf fall, hedge cutting and shrub border maintenance
- Inspect sites and let your supervisor know of any problems you spot
- Sweep, collect and remove litter, rubbish and animal waste
- Complete very basic paperwork
About You
You will need to have a full, valid UK driving licence.
Full training will be provided to the successful applicants.
You will have a m ature attitude and able to work with
out close supervision and have a nice way of speaking with our
customers as you will be the face of the Council.
It's important that you have t he ability to get on well
with your team and have a steady and methodical approach to work.
Above all, a sense of pride and a commitment to doing a good job is
vital.
