An exciting opportunity for an experienced road freight manager has opened to join a leading multi-site logistics company.

Company

A Global Freight Forwarder are actively seeking a Road Freight Regional Manager to join their expanding team based in Birmingham. This exciting opportunity offers the successful applicant a chance to join a multi award winning company and to join a team that truly looks after their people as well as their customers.

The right candidate will be an experienced Road Freight Manager, who has previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder in a Branch or Regional capacity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor KPIs for 5 direct reports
• Manage and oversee daily site operations
• Oversea the management of the 80,000sq feet warehouse.
• Profit and Loss responsibility for the branch.
• Build and develop a strong team handling EU Road Freight Operations.
• Driving operational excellence and best practice across the business
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in EU Road Freight Forwarding.
• Strong Commercial and operational background
• Have previously held a similar positioning the Freight Forwarding Industry at General or Regional Manager Level.
