Full Job Description
Our client is a well-established export and import full load and
groupage services to Western and Eastern Europe. We are now recruiting
for a Freight sales Executive to sell and promote road freight
logistics services in the North of the UK, including the Midlands,
North West, Yorkshire, North East and Scotland. You can be based
anywhere from the Midlands up to Scotland to cover the entire North of
the UK
Job Description
*
Develop prospects and leads, be the initial point of contact and build
the relationship/pipeline.
* Ensure existing
accounts are well managed and where possible grown.
* Enter into negotiations with customers
regarding price and service.
* Develop and
formulate the sales strategy and achieve the revenue and profit goals
set by the business.
* Work closely with the
operations team to ensure customer needs and expectations are met.
* Produce and report on core-activities,
including sales calls, execution of calls, success, post contact
analysis and reports.
* Assist and liaise with
board on larger project / contract work as and when required.
Ideal Candidate Qualities and role
* Prior
experience of working in road freight logistics ideal, operating a
fleet of both UK and European based vehicles (fleet size 50+ vehicles)
* Knowledge of pricing and an understanding of the road
haulage environment
* Approachable, relatable, and can-do attitude
- willing to go the extra mile.
* High level of skills and an
ability to manipulate data and provide useful reports.
* An
appreciation and understanding of the regulatory background of
operating a haulage business in the UK and EU
* Autonomy and the
opportunity to be the number one in sales at the
business.
