The team

Lifted Entertainment is home to some of the biggest TV shows in the world.

From live shows such as Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, to talent shows like The Voice UK, quizzes such as University Challenge and reality formats including Love Island. There isn’t an unscripted genre we do not produce !

The role

We are keen to hear from Manchester based Runners with a passion for our unscripted label, Lifted Entertainment and keen to join us for future opportunities.

 

Reporting to either the editorial or production management team,  a runner provides general support to ensure the smooth-running of a production. 

 

The responsibilities for the role are:

Responsibilities for the role will vary depending on the programme/business context.  Some typical areas of focus are as follows (you may not need to undertake all of them).  For further detailed information please reference the job description.

 

Production Support:

Digitally Led: Helping prepare pitching assets including format documents and sizzles; assist in managing and organising digital assets; transfer and backup rushes as well as contribute to the development and execution of digital content strategies

Production, Research and Fact-checking: Collaborating with the team; conducting research and a ssisting in all areas of production when necessary

Coordination and Logistics: Supporting the production team in any production-related activities

On-Set/Location Assistance: Providing assistance to the crew and talent on set

Administrative Tasks: Providing administrative support to the production team



Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • A minimum of 2 credits as a runner within unscripted television. Please evidence this on your CV.

  • Logging experience, please evidence this in your CV.

  • A proactive approach to attracting the largest possible audiences for our shows that reflect and appeal to the breadth of audiences that characterise the rich diversity of modern Britain.  

  • Evidence of a basic technical understanding of equipment, eg; setting up a camera and tripod, kit management and maintenance, including training on various camera and sound equipment and management of rushes.  Please evidence this, along with which cameras you have used, in your CV.

  • Proven proficiency in computer skills, digital tools and software relevant to production and content creation eg; Photoshop, logging software, AI in relation to TV production and basic editing as well as an interest in creating content for social media platforms which engage and delight a digital audience.  Please evidence this in your CV.

  • Demonstrable experience of organising and logistics as you may be booking kit in and out on a daily basis, ensuring everything is in the right place at the right time for multiple teams each day. Please evidence this in your CV.

  • Proven ability to work successfully in a team in a fast paced environment, able to adapt to change. Please provide examples in your application.  

 

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Demonstrable good initiative and common sense

  • Demonstrable passion/interest in the TV industry and ITV shows in particular

  • UK Clean Driving licence is desirable but not essential

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good organisational and problem solving skills

  • Keen attention to detail
