SEN HOME TUTOR

Full Job Description

We currently have vacancies for Home Tutors to support children currently not attending school due to a variety of reasons from medical needs to a recent SEN diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

Create a positive and calm learning environment.

Build strong relationships with students and their families.

Customize learning plans to meet individual student needs.

Plan and conduct engaging tutoring sessions covering the curriculum adequately.

Provide detailed session reports outlining student progress.

Support students' re-engagement in education.

Person Specification:

QTS or equivalent with tutoring experience.

Experience working with young people outside mainstream education due to behavioural or special educational needs.

Relevant qualifications in English and Maths.

Subject expertise or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science.

Understanding of working with children/young people with additional learning needs or those who are disengaged or looked after.

Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Knowledge of safeguarding practices.

Qualifications Required: Level 3 or equivalent 

Hourly Rate: £26.62 per hour

Work schedule: flexible

Location: Worcester
