About the SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialising in Autism and ADHD Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in autism and ADHD support, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized assistance to students with specific needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with autism and ADHD
• Implementing personalized support plans and strategies to address their unique challenges
• Supporting students in developing social skills, communication abilities, and self-regulation techniques
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Monitoring and recording student progress, and providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers
• Promoting positive behavior management strategies and implementing interventions when necessary
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialising in Autism and ADHD Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with autism and/or ADHD is highly desirable
• Knowledge of autism and ADHD-specific strategies and interventions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse needs
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing situations
