Job title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Tower Hamlets

Salary: £85- £100 per day

Start Date: 29th April 2024

End Date: Until May half term break

Contract Type: Fixed term

Working Hours: 08:30 am to 03:45 pm (Monday to Friday)

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

As SEN Teaching Assistant in this outstanding school in Tower hamlets, you will:

· Provide dedicated support in the mornings, focusing on assisting a Year 6 student with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD diagnosis and potential self-harming behavior.

· Offer crucial assistance in the afternoons, aiding Year 1 students and remaining flexible to work across Key Stages 1 and 2.

· Utilize your knowledge and skills to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.

· Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.

· Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

· Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.

· Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Relevant qualifications and/or training in education, SEN, or child development are desirable.
