Full Job Description

Teaching Assistant - Billingshurst, West Sussex - Full-time - Start As Soon As Available

Pink Tile Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for our established special school in the Billingshurst/Horsham area. The school work with young people and children with neurological motor impairment such as cerebral palsy and associated sensory and medical needs. The pupil ages span from 3 to 19. You will support the young people by empowering them in every aspect of their lives, building positive relationships and assisting with school work and liaising with both professionals and their families. The school are seeking to appoint permanent staff after an initial probation period.

The school boasts incredible resources & facilities on-site and are in a lovely area with private grounds.

Pay = £75 per day (£25 a day more than the market average for this role) 8:30 - 3:30, Monday to Friday; Term time only.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one (we can help you to obtain one before your start date)
  • Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
  • Confident working with children & young people in SEN
  • Experience working with children & young people (desired)
  • Experience working with children & young people in SEN (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Support class teacher
  • Support the pupils
  • Understand individual needs & adapt approach
  • Have a deep care for the job in had
  • Inspire & have fun with the young people, have high expectations whilst assisting them reach their potential

- Give details for us to complete Reference checks;

- Provide an Enhanced DBS disclosure
