Job Title: SEN Teacher/Teacher with SEN Experience

Location: Epping, Harlow, Loughton, Chigwell

Job Description:

We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Teachers or Teachers with SEN experience to join our team in Epping, Harlow, Loughton, and Chigwell. The ideal candidates will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record of working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with students in 3-hour blocks on a 1:1 basis, helping them access the full curriculum in environments such as their homes or community libraries.
  • Tailor teaching methods to suit individual needs, focusing on core subjects for both primary and secondary levels.
  • Commit to provided timetables to ensure consistency for students, with blocks ranging from 4 weeks to termly depending on complexity of need.
  • Ensure students work no more than 15 hours per week, promoting a balanced learning environment.
  • Employ excellent communication strategies with both students and the organization.
  • Embrace flexibility with shorter working days to accommodate both students' and teachers' needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities provided by the organization.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with SEND students.
  • Ability to work effectively with students on a 1:1 basis, adapting teaching methods as needed.
  • Strong communication skills, both with students and within the organization.
  • Commitment to providing consistent support and guidance to students.
  • Flexibility to work within provided timetables and adapt to changing needs.
  • Passion for making a positive impact on students' lives through education.
