Empowering Learning Ltd are looking to appoint outstanding SEND Teaching Assistants in Southwark London with experience supporting SEND students. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals who are hands on and can support students with physical needs; assisting with personal care such as hygiene and feeding, and manual handling. The most important quality the school is looking for someone who is strong in the academic area, confident with challenging behaviour, and comfortable providing personal care. You will also be responsible for promoting an inclusive learning environment. To be successful for this role you must:

• Have passion, enthusiasm, and willingness to work in SEND Learning environments
• Have knowledge and experience with PMLD students or a strong Care background
• Have worked within the care system to support adults or children.
• Play a significant role in the students learning journey
• Additional training such as manual handling, hoisting, PEG feeding and Tube feeding NO essential.

We are recruiting:

Teaching Assistant for our Secondary school. We are now looking for a Teaching Assistant for a full day with lots of experience working with children with PMLD, Autism and Complex Needs. They will require experience and willing to do personal care.

Our schools provides their pupils an inclusive and engaging education environment, supporting students with varied needs such as PMLD, Autism and Complex Needs and SLD. The school have a fantastic working ethos where each pupil's individual abilities are recognised and staff strive to support all their student's physical, social and emotional development to reach to their full potential. Having experience in the SEN Education sector or Health care sector will be an advantage where you can utilise your skills and knowledge, however this isn't essential.
