Full Job Description

The Safer Gambling Support Officer role supports the Safer Gambling Compliance Manager and the Senior Management Team to embed a Safer Gambling culture throughout the business, ensuring compliance with the Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP).

Reporting to the Safer Gambling Compliance Manager, the ideal candidate must have a proven track record of developing and delivering training, preferably, with experience of working within a compliance environment and knowledge of UK Gambling Legislation. 

Key Responsibilities for this role are:

  • To promote awareness of Safer Gambling strategies and procedures.
  • Supporting the Safer Gambling Compliance Manager to develop a programme of Safer Gambling and Compliance training for all support functions and the customer facing teams.
  • Ensure employees in all areas of the business are trained and aware of their responsibilities regarding Safer Gambling.
  • Keeping abreast of Industry Safer Gambling initiatives and changes in legislation, understanding and benchmarking of best practice with the aim of continuously raising standards and expertise.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of Safer Gambling practices.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to stakeholders regarding the necessary safer gambling action points.
  • Attend ad hoc meetings with trade bodies.
  • Personal Management Licence Holder
  • Proven history of working in a training role, preferably in a Gambling environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK Gambling Compliance, Safer Gambling and LCCP.
  • Ability to resource information from external sources and awareness of Safer Gambling best practices
  • Knowledge of customer KYC and Due Diligence processes.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with attention to detail and ability to quickly review and assess information.
  • Strong Communication skills – verbally and written.
  • A good understanding of operational areas of a gambling business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to efficiently achieve deadlines.
