The Opportunity

Ford & Stanley Recruitment are partnered with a supplier that boasts a product range of over 40,000 parts on their search for a Technical Sales Engineer.

This is a critical hire for the business, providing engineering expertise to an existing sales function to remedy bottlenecks in bids processes and the overall supply chain, turning requirements and queries into actionable orders that will enable the business to continue to grow.

This role represents an opportunity for a technically minded engineer to diversify their skillset and take a step into a new career path.

Burton Upon Trent

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support the existing sales function by being the subject matter expert in Rail/Rolling Stock Engineering
  • Interact with customers and internal departments to ensure the success of the sales team and delivery of projects.
  • Managing projects, sometimes all the way through to completion.

 

The Candidate

With excellent knowledge of UK Rolling Stock, the successful candidate will have a background in rail engineering, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings to create a BOM.

The right individual for this job will also be results driven, have a strong focus on customer service and solid literacy and numeracy skills.
