naturally biodegradable packaging solutions, made from seaweed and
plants. We’re looking to bring in a Sales Manager to focus solely on
developing the market for our flexible film.

This is an
exciting time to join Notpla, as our first flexible film has now
reached the point of manufacturing readiness that we can go to market
and start selling it as a via sustainable alternative to PE/PVOH
films.. Our commercial team has traditionally been arranged in a
product focussed matrix structure but as we grow and develop we have
seen the need to create a deeper leadership structure that
incorporates market specialities. The commercial team is a talented
group that come from a variety of backgrounds, this gives a wide range
of skills to call upon to help us meet our unique commercial goals and
challenges. We have just launched our first commercial partnership
with the film product and we're looking to expand this further in
three identified markets - dry foods (meal kits or food-2-go), home
care, and cosmetics. Your role will be to lead the commercialisation
of this product in these markets, understanding that new materials
have their own challenges to overcome, and to create long lasting
profitable relationships that ensure we deliver our goals.
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced Business
development professional who has industry experience in selling
flexible films, ideally in one or more of the markets noted. You will
have experience of building lasting partnerships with companies in the
home care, cosmetics, CPG or FMCG industries and will understand what
your partners want to see from a new material. It is imperative that
you have great negotiation and account management skills and have the
ability to articulate the impact of Notpla products. As well as the
above your day to day responsibilities will include:
Proactively Identify and pursue new business
opportunities with consumer brands in CPG industries, and use your
technical sales experience to win new business
Develop and own pipeline of relevant customers, working
closely with the Product Manager to understand the strengths of the
product and its potential market impact.
Managing and
qualifying inbound enquiries, and leading introductory calls with
prospective clients discussing the environmental, commercial and
technical benefits of working with Notpla film.
Developing new business opportunities by conducting
introductory calls with both qualified and unqualified leads.
Proposing, structuring and pitching commercial
presentations to prospective new customers.
Influencing the ongoing development of the relevant
product strategy, including the Where to Play and How to Win
decisions.
Work with our customers to collect
feedback that can be used to continually develop our product range and
capabilities.
Work with the Product Manager and Chief
Revenue Office to define pricing strategies.
Negotiate deals with new and existing customers to extract
the maximum amount of value for Notpla.
Work with
other Business Development Managers to help develop each others skill
set through a culture of peer to peer feedback and coaching, and for
potentially mentor and develop an emerging sales team.
Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Design, Production, and
Impact functions to ensure the smooth execution of projects and sales
plans.
Represent Notpla at events and communicate
the brand's values and unique selling propositions to customers
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor
activities, and consumer preferences, and provide strategic
recommendations accordingly
