Bruker UK Limited are searching for a Sales Specialist to manage X-ray products including X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) within a defined territory. The role is to work remotely with the requirement to travel throughout the UK & occasionally into Europe. This provides an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team at Bruker and work promoting cutting edge analytical X-ray technology to the academic and industrial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the Bruker brand and assigned products within the assigned territory to all market sectors. The exact assigned territory will be dependent on the successful candidate’s location with a preference for a location in the south of England.
  • Plan, organise and coordinate sales activities within the defined region using own initiative to grow market share.
  • Negotiate and close deals effectively.
  • To present yourself, Bruker and the assigned products in a professional manner in line with the ‘Innovation with Integrity’ mission.
  • Maintain relationships with the existing customer base and build relationships with new clients.
  • Meet sales targets and provide effective reporting for accurate forecasting.
  • Maintain and develop the project pipeline within the CRM software.
  • Coordinate closely with the X-ray team in the UK and internationally building good working relationships with the service and application teams.

Essential:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of the organisation.
  • High level organisational skills enabling effective prioritisation of work to meet deadlines.
  • Commercial driven and highly motivated.
  • Able to understand customer needs and articulate them clearly to colleagues so that complex solutions can be provided.
  • Capable to adapt working within a range of industries identifying key people and issues across these different environments.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills and the ability to make timely and effective decisions.
  • Accurate and detail oriented and must demonstrate reliability and consistency.
  • Excellent written English and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the defined sales region and occasionally within the rest of the UK and overseas, in particular to the Bruker AXS headquarters in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Favourable:

  • Experience in the B2B sales within a technical sector.
  • Understanding of X-ray Fluorescence and/or X-ray Diffraction.
  • Experience of working within a key X-ray market sector such as the Academic, Cement, Pharma, Petrochemical and Metal industries.
  • Educated to degree level in chemistry, physics, engineering or a related field.
