Sales Specialist – Sequencing Solutions, Roche Molecular Solutions (UK) – Territory: South of England

The Position

We are looking for a Specialist to join our Sequencing Solutions Sales team . Who will be responsible for building and maintaining effective customer relationships, maximising sales of the Roche Sequencing portfolio and services of Roche Molecular Systems in the Clinical and Life Sciences customer segments. You will be accountable for successful delivery of business plan in line with Roche’s strategic targets in your territory around the South East of England.

The primary focus will be  around Genomic Laboratory Hubs and Research institutions centred in your territory, including the management of the tender response process, and leading and implementing the territory strategy for Roche Sequencing Solutions products.


As a Sales Specialist, you must be customer focused, understanding the customer purchasing process and providing onsite customer presentation, training and pre and post-sales support.

You will be expected to maintain and communicate a high level of market and product knowledge and to aid the development of marketing strategy and marketing plans, aligning with Business Unit and Company strategies.

Who You Are 

Key skills/experience

Educated to MSc Degree or higher in the field of life sciences subject (Genetics, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology) or equivalent. A clear understanding of NGS, Genomics medicine and Molecular biology techniques.Previous hands-on NGS experience and the understanding of bioinformatics is not essential, but highly desirable for this role.

Resilient, tenacious with strong negotiation skills within the scientific market, you have a strong track record in sales territory management. Your excellent communication skills enable you to build strong partnerships across multi-disciplinary teams internally and externally.

Demonstrate strong organisational skills and flexibility to drive commercial excellence on your territory while using the latest digital sales engagement tools.
