As our Sales Support Specialist you will provide a pro-active level of personal service to all customer groups and the salesforce to ensure service levels are maintained at high standards and in line with pre-set targets for the Growing Solutions Turf and Landscape , Professional Horticulture and Specialty Agriculture businesses in the UK & Ireland.
About the role
You
will co-ordinate the operational requirements of departments across
the business to the highest standard and within strict timescales. In
addition you will review operational procedures and recommend methods
changes which make it easier for customers to do business with ICL.
Other responsibilities will be:
- To process customer orders to the highest operational standards and within agreed parameters.
- Manage the day-to-day operational interface with logistics providers and through liaison with sales and marketing, ensure efficient and effective communication of logistics issues to the customer.
- To manage the claims and credits process – to investigate invoice and transit claims, to obtain authorisation for settlement or rejection and complete the appropriate transaction within the QAD invoicing system.
- To monitor and communicate finished stock levels vs sales and forecast data, identifying potential supply issues. Review and update sales forecast database accordingly.
- To review and prompt stock replenishment from Supply Chain and Supplier Partners.
- To manage general and customer specific price lists to ensure accurate and timely invoicing of transactions. Liaise with Finance and Marketing to ensure invoicing system updated.
- Manage E-Commerce processes and resolve transmission failures.
- To provide office support to UK and Ireland team - travel and accommodation, office equipment, lease and maintenance contracts, central holiday and sickness forms.
- Process general and technical enquiries regarding product use, application, availability, and trading terms.
- Provide support to sales and marketing team by attending trade shows, seminars, customer training events etc.
- Support the development of social media platforms as required and in line with Company Policy and guidelines.
About you
- You bring the following qualifications:
- ‘A’ level or equivalent including Maths and English
- You have experience in a customer driven environment.
- Great communication skills and any additional language skills are welcomed.
- Strong skills in MS based applications (excel, word, etc)
- Understanding of stock control, warehousing and logistics
The following skills are important and we would be looking for: IT literacy, excellent time management and attention to detail.
