Job Role: Sales / Planning Engineer
Location: Yeovil
Salary: tbc
Full Time: Monday to Friday
To develop and grow customer business relationships and liaise with operations to ensure the planning of processes is effective & compliant.
This role will include:
- Maintain and Grow New Customer Value Streams through the timely response to Customer RFQs & Technical Enquiries.
- Analysing and conversion of Customer Drawings, models, specifications and instructions into a compliant & effective Processing Plan.
- Estimating Processing Costs and Quoting Price & Lead times.
- Being proactive around REACH Compliance & Obsolescence by offering alternative Technical Solutions to the Customer.
- Establishing Customer LTAs / LTCs.
- Consumable Stock Analysis & Controls at RFQ stage.
- Benchmarking of Prices & Internal Cost Analysis.
- Identifying Business Cases for additional or alternative processing.
- Ensuring Process Planning is compliant, including (but not limited to) NADCAP & AS9100 requirements.
- Upselling of the Group Capability.
- Identifying and Introduction of Continuous Improvement Processing Initiatives.
- Analysing of Sales by Customer / Process etc and Capacity to sell into.
Skills and experience required:
- Strong Commercial Awareness and Customer Focus.
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding of Processing Techniques & associated Jigging.
- Experience in Estimating and Quoting.
- Surface Finishing / Treatment Qualification (desirable).
- Well-rounded interpersonal and communication skills.
