Full Job Description

Location: London (Southall), UK
Place of work: On site (sporadically hybrid).


Reporting to the Europe Lab Services Director based in Geneva, your mission is to operationally support the Perfumery & Beauty division in the new fragrance creation & developments, submissions of samples to Clients and consumer testing. In your role, you manage and organize the local end-to-end fragrance compounding and application operations to meet the service level agreements according to the Corporate QHSS&E rules, the business priorities and the global best practices.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 9 technicians, ensuring first their safety and health
  • Guarantee the accuracy and the availability of stocks of raw materials, fragrance oils and packagings
  • Prioritize, allocate and regulate the workload in a balanced way
  • Optimize the use and availability of the automated equipments in particular the weighing robot
  • Define and/or validate local standard operating procedures related to the scope of responsibility
  • Infuse the continuous improvement mindset in the team via concrete actions or projects (5S, error proofing, flows optimization, …) in line with our global Lab 4.0 strategy to optimize the lab efficiency
  • Participate actively in cross regional task forces related to global laboratory services initiatives

You bring

  • Engineering degree with at least a 3-year experience managing team within a lab or a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to motivate, coach/develop, assess and organize resources
  • Mastering lean management concepts with proven practical experience (lean certification is a plus)
  • Hands-on approach to run and to improve the production of required samples
  • Excellent analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Result driven, you are methodical with an eye for detail
