Job Vacancy: School Caretaker (Full-Time)

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Hours: Full-Time, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Salary: Competitive, with benefits

They are currently seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join the team and help maintain the high standards of the facilities.

The Role: As the School Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the school. Your responsibilities will include:

* Maintenance and Repairs: Conducting routine inspections and carrying out minor repairs to ensure the school premises are safe and well-maintained.

* Security: Managing the opening and closing of the school premises, ensuring the security of the buildings and grounds.

* Health and Safety: Upholding health and safety standards, and responding to any immediate issues or emergencies.

* Groundskeeping: Overseeing the upkeep of outdoor areas, including gardening and litter management.

* Support Services: Assisting with the setup of classrooms and event spaces for various school activities.

About You: The ideal candidate will have:

* A strong sense of responsibility and ownership of tasks.

* Previous experience in a caretaking or facilities management role.

* Basic DIY skills and the ability to carry out minor repairs.

* Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

* A friendly and approachable demeanor, with good communication skills.

* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo this check).
