Job Title: Science Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our partnered secondary school located in Southwark. As a full-time permanent position starting in September, you'll have the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students while being part of a supportive and dynamic faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of secondary school students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and exploration.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively deliver the science curriculum, including practical experiments and demonstrations.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning goals through differentiated instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enhance the science curriculum and promote cross-curricular connections.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians to ensure their involvement in their child's education.
  • Uphold school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
  • Previous experience teaching science at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
