About the Role

This Master Production Scheduling (MPS) Manager role sits within our Scotch Category which is the largest category in Diageo and serves all markets. You will sit within the Scotch Planning Leadership team and be responsible for leading Scotch Supply Planning, Production and Material Scheduling across Leven and Shieldhall. You will be responsible for Scotch Supply Planning and Scotch Line Scheduling to deliver expected volume required sourced for this category.

You will own digital capability development across the teams in line with Category ambition and skill requirements. Being responsible for the Scotland Scotch planning team capability and maturity development plans.

Key Accountabilities

Leading E2E Supply Chain Operational Excellence:

  • Accountable for primary and secondary Case Fill Rate Results for the Category

  • Lead S&OP supply review for the category

  • Accountable for Scotland primary Scotch Inventory Management; including SLOBS

  • Drives long term capacity decisions via Long Term Capacity Planning

  • Ensures Category planning maturity assessment

  • Ensures sufficiency of Category Business Continuity Plans

  • Deliver and embed segmentation for the category

  • Standardised processes and ways of working across all Scotch planning teams

Drive optimized supply solutions:

  • The right Supply Base with procurement

  • Manufacturing Network (DIAGEO sites/Co-packer’s) to optimize cash and cost driving ‘speed to market’ and service

  • Right Customization choices to meet markets/customer needs if needed

  • Address any supply disruption or conflict situation through consensus solution or recommendation for escalation.

  • Represent Supply in leading RCCP process, balancing demand and supply signals whilst ensuring strategy and annual targets can be delivered.

About You

To be successful in role you will have Supply Chain Planning experience in CPG and a customer centric mind set. You will have systems experience within supply chain optimization platforms (ERP / master data, time-phased replenishment planning systems).

It is crucial that you have team management experience and a strong understanding of supply chain operational processes e.g. demand, I&BC, RCCP, Segmentation, DRP, MPS, MRP, MSM and have hands-on expertise in DRP, RCCP and at least one of the others.

You will have excellent leadership influencing and partner engagement skills.  This includes the ability to challenge senior partners and handle tension in demand/supply conversations.
