Full Job Description

The Opportunity

 

Reporting to the Head of Membership for Scott Dunn Private, with a dotted line into the Operations Director (US), the Expedition & Groups Travel Manager will lead the logistical management and coordination of hyper complex expeditions as offered through our invitation only membership service for Scott Dunn Private.

 

Given the booking meets certain thresholds, the Expedition & Groups Travel Manager will also lead the planning, operational management, and oversight of group bookings, corporate retreats, and large multigenerational holidays and trips for high profile individuals within our core Scott Dunn business.

 

This is with the view of ensuring military precision logistical management is in place, alongside a global taskforce, to deliver an unforgettable experience for our members and guests in alignment with our service standards.

 

This is a global role, and will provide the successful individual the opportunity to plan and coordinate totally unique experiences for our most discerning travellers from the ground-up.

 

Responsibilities

 

The responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Assuming ownership for the ‘expedition’ or group booking, and coordinating the logistical management, planning, and taskforce management of the trip. This includes:
    • Chairing and assembling a global taskforce to deliver the experience in alignment with the nature of the trip
    • Working with the taskforce to identify innovative concepts at quotation stage to engage the guest
    • Ensuring roles, requirements, and responsibilities are known and fulfilled by taskforce members
    • Creating a timelines that all parties are able to adhere to
    • Allocating project workload from concept stage through to post feedback return, including out of hours and incident management
    • Focusing on contingency planning, failsafe procedures, roles & responsibilities, costing and budget planning
    • Leading on all communications, safety procedures, travel requirements, and on the ground management throughout the trip
    • Ensuring the trip is adequately costed to ensure all aspects are covered including appropriate financial buffers and appropriate contingencies are in place
    • Liaise with necessary external parties to ensure direction and detail of expeditions and groups are correct
    • Manage confidentiality of high-profile individuals as needed
    • Ensuring the highest standards of service are delivered throughout

 

About You

 

You will have experience in both luxury travel, and the coordination of large-group expeditions, trips or events. In addition to this, it would be further advantageous if you have had exposure to working with HNW and UHNWi’s and proven operational experience to ensure the seamless delivery of our expedition and group-travel bookings. Other requirements to evidence in your application include:

Location

We aim to find someone who would be office based in our London, Hammersmith, or New York, Bryant Park office.
