Sea Logistics Sales Executive - Liverpool, Manchester and North
West region
YOUR ROLE
A customer facing role to develop and
promote the growth of Sea Logistics business through a focused
approach collaborating with and supporting Sales and Operations by
bringing in new business and maintaining current business. Our client
are hiring individuals who are sales experienced within some form of
Logistics / Freight Forwarding and believe in delivering quality
service to fulfill customer needs.
You will deliver agreed
portfolio targets through the development of all customers following
our clients national sales management guidelines. You will report to
the National Sea Logistics Development Manager and cover the
geographical region across the North West from Stoke up to Carlisle
and across to the Yorkshire borders including all the main areas of
Manchseter, Liverpool, Warrington, Stoke, Blackburn, Preston,
Rochdale, Oldham, Bolton, Wigan, Bury, Southport, North Wales
etc
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be responsible for
business development of sea freight logistics - collaborate with all
levels of the sales organisation on key opportunities.
- Develop
and own strategy in line with, and execution to achieve agreed growth
targets for sea logistics.
- Targeted number of client visits per
month: Owned Customer and Support Sales Customer Visits. Provide sales
leads to the Sales organisation as well as delivering new business
within own sales pipeline
- Maintain and develop overseas partner
relationships, including pipeline development, sales lead creation and
focused activities with our overseas company partners.
- Understand
customer requirements to ensure effective alignment with supplier
sourcing. Conduct regular reviews of market sector strategy, new
business opportunity and value creation.
- Ensure key client
requirements are effective, profitable and linked to the operational
department.
- Maintain service KPI's for both customer and
supplier, supported by regular key client KPI updates and QBR's.
Ensure proactive response to key client service requirements and
issues.
- International travel may be required to support business
development. Manage, build and develop relationships with overseas
partners to mutual benefit.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

Proven business to business, face to face sales experience with strong
customer and solution orientation within a targeted new business
environment, from the Sea Freight, Air Freight, Road Freight,
Logustics, Parcels, International Express, Courier, Pallet
Distribution , e-commerce or other related Transport industry

Strong communication and networking skills with the ability to
convince and convey
- Ability to build customer "value
propositions"
- Strong capabilities is analysis, entrepreneurial
and commercial understanding and behaviour as well as cost efficient
working style
- Ambitious to succeed, keen to work in teams, strong
willed and target oriented
- Effective and proactive time
management/forward planning
- Proven ability of
establishing/maintaining Internal networks a matrix organisations
