Manufacturing Plant (Sunderland)

To start ASAP - 12 month contract 

Rate:  - £30.78/hr PAYE

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a client looking for an experienced Seat Design and Development Engineer in the automotive sector to be part of a Design Seating systems team in Sunderland. 

In this Seat Design and Development Engineer  role, you will be responsible for the life-cycle management of current European Seats, including cost reduction, quality market improvement and new product development projects. You will also in your first few weeks in this Seat Design and Development Engineer  role, expect to:

• Be responsible for the life cycle management of current European Seats, including cost reduction, quality market improvement and new product development projects
• Manage and report test validation and part quality/reliance
• Lead the industrialisation activities of new Seating systems in the manufacturing plant

To apply for this Seat Design and Development Engineer  role, you will need a design or engineering qualification and CAD interrogation. You will also require cost analysis skills related to automotive interior and seat parts. Additional requirements include:

• Previous automotive design and development experience
• Prior knowledge of Seating system or Interior Trim parts or prior knowledge of manufacturing processes
• A valid driving licence and the ability to travel globally
