Security Engineer - £150k base salary, up to £300k OTE + Bonuses

You will be an excellent individual contributor, working across a broad range of security roles and projects. You’ll be working on everything from physical to IT security, helping to transform signals into actionable intelligence and designing/implementing authentication and authorisation systems.

As the third hire into the security function, there is a lot of autonomy over your role and the opportunity to see the impact of your work almost instantly. You will also be working to assess third-party security to keep them in compliance with world-wide regulatory requirements.

They are a predominantly on-premise institution, so your ability to script using Python and Golang (previous Go experience is not required), will be necessary. They are a non-hierarchical company that will trust you to do excellent work and give you the freedom to do so. Not only that but they will also have the necessary funding for you to be able to do what you need to do to build a world class security posture.

For some of the projects that they have planned for you, you will need deep familiarity with UNIX and Windows authentication systems with systems level understanding of other areas. Some cryptography and OS development in either Kernel or Userland is a plus too, as well as some familiarity with Kerberos.

You will be working with a high frequency quantitative trading firm. They are a very technically driven firm, working to optimise their trading through highly proficient tech. You will be working with petabytes of data and RAM to keep up their $250 billion daily trading volume.
