Security Officer

Full Job Description

The role of the Security Officer is to prevent crime, ensure public safety, and protect people and property relevant to AJW. We aim to project AJW as the world class aviation company, which it is. By presenting our HQ estate in Slinfold, as an environment in which staff are proud to attend, and customers welcomed to be able to see what we are, who we are, and the quality that is contained within its walls.

Responsibilities:

Security Tasks

• Monitor & Review CCTV (Recorded & Live)
• Monitor & Respond to Alarms (Intruder / Fire Alarm / Disabled Alarms)
• Monitor & Manage Access control system.
• Patrol buildings (as required)
• Enforce Security policies & procedures.
• Emergency Response (out of hours)
• Customer Service (visitors/staff/contractors)
• H&S (Fire Officer / First Aider)
• Security Checks (staff/visitors)
• Monitoring public access and ensuring the security of all personnel and visitors
• Apprehending trespassers and perpetrators

Reception Tasks
• Welcoming and greeting all individuals to site.
• Answering phone calls, emails, and enquiries
• Handling incoming and outgoing mail
• Information and assistance to visitors or clients
• Maintaining a tidy and organized reception area
• Assisting with administrative tasks
• Collaborating with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
• Order stationery and keep inventory of stock.
• Parking management
• Lost & found.

The Person:

• Good IT skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Good communicator and ability to build relationships at all levels
• Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards.

Desirable

• SIA License Holder
• CCTV License (PPS Licence)
• First Aid Trained
• Familiarity with Paxton Net 2 Access Control
