We at 24/7 Education are seeking to appoint an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Coventry, supporting students with special educational needs within our school community.

A compassionate and resourceful individual will thrive in this role, providing invaluable support to students with diverse learning needs and helping them reach their full potential.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by:

  1. Assisting in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, ADHD, and physical disabilities.

  2. Providing one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons, helping them understand and engage with classroom activities and academic content.

  3. Collaborating with classroom teachers and other professionals to adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of students with special educational needs.

  4. Supporting students with personal care tasks, mobility assistance, and sensory regulation techniques as necessary, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in the school environment.

  5. Implementing behavior management strategies and promoting positive social interactions to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

  6. Monitoring student progress and behavior, documenting observations, and communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on student performance and development.

Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the independence and success of students with special educational needs are essential qualities for this role.

While previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role is advantageous, we welcome applications from compassionate individuals with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
