The CIB Markets Athena Trade and Risk Services (ATRS) technology team is responsible for building digital products that deliver best in class solutions for trade and risk management consistently across JPMorgan’s Markets businesses by constantly assessing business needs, emerging trends, and technical challenges. Our team consists of product managers, delivery & agility leads and developers. Job description

As an Agility Lead in the Athena Trade and Risk Services group within Markets Technology, you’ll act as a servant leader for your teams.  Working in a predominantly Scrum environment, you will drive agile adoption and continuous improvement to help teams deliver high quality products to our clients.  You will embed agility best practices and help to remove impediments whilst increasing the flow of value.  Using empirical techniques and driven by data, the improvements you implement will be based on a flexible approach in an ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product owner to align the team with the product vision & sprint goals
  • Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
  • Champion continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coach teams to conduct continuous improvement events
  • Seek opportunities for improvement to the overall effectiveness of teams and the organization
  • Communicate organizational impediments to leadership; clear impediments for the team
  • Embrace the concept of continuous learning in own journey and instill the same in the team(s) you coach

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Scrum Master certification e.g. CSM or PSM
  • Experience as a practicing Scrum Master on a team
  • Exposure to modern engineering practices like Unit Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration
  • A mindset of servant leadership
  • An Agile mindset
  • Expert with Agile and Scrum framework and its application in Product Development and delivery organization
  • Ability to coach and mentor
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
  • Sound understanding of Scaling framework such as LeSS, Scrum of Scrums, SAFe
  • Leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and more to serve the team

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Tools: Jira, Jira Align, Lucidspark, Confluence; or similar
  • Financial Services industry experience
