Senior Buyer / Purchasing Manager - Marine

ROLE OVERVIEW: Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager / Senior Buyer sought by leading marine distributor.

Office location - Southampton area

Salary : £40K-£52K plus profit related pay (c£6K last yr) plus excellent benefits package. This is a permanent employment contract.

THE COMPANY & ROLE:

My client has been establised for nearly 40 years and is the UK's leading marine distributor. Selling into the marine trade, the company then expanded its product portfolio to supply a full range of materials for the marine, industrial and sporting sectors.

My client is seeking an experienced Procurement specialist who has experience within the marine sector and with sourcing materials from Europe. My client will consider both either a Senior Buyer or a Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager and your level of experience will dictate the remuneration package you are ultimately offered. If you have good commercial experience then this is further advantageous. You will have sole responsibility for procurement and will not have any direct reports initially and you'll report into the Finance Director.

Requirements:

• You will be at an advantage if you have an academic background within the marine sector although this isnt essential
• Full UK Driving license and passport
• Self-motived, positive and organised
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
