Senior C&I Engineer (Nuclear) - Capenhurst, Cheshire
Contract -
6 months (potential to extend)
Up to £65 per hour (Inside IR35)
Hybrid (will require site presence in Capenhurst initially, moving
to hybrid)
You'll be working on Front End Engineering Design
(FEED) solutions and diving deep into technical feasibility studies.
As the C&I lead engineer, you'll spearhead the Conceptual and Basic
Design phases for new builds or facility upgrades, guiding third-party
engineering partners along the way.
Your expertise will shape
Plant Design specs, ensuring optimal safety, efficient asset
management, and robust CapEx plans. Plus, you'll play a pivotal role
in setting design standards that keep our clients ahead in safety and
competitive edge.
Expect some on-site work at the start, then a
mix of remote and in-person collaboration as things progress.
Responsibilities
·Formulate plant designs with meticulous
attention to safety features, drawing from industry best practices and
comprehensive lessons learned.
·Engage deeply in C&I (automation)
design, meticulously evaluating options and technological solutions
for feasibility studies.
·Assume leadership in both Conceptual and
Detailed Designs, with a keen focus on C&I systems integration.
·Oversee the development of Basic Design packages for Core Plant
Technology, ensuring excellence in C&I system implementation.
·Offer strategic guidance on Detailed Design and supplier quality
assurance, whenever the need arises.
·Uphold our Core Plant
Technology expertise to the highest standard, consistently aligning
with the pinnacle of safety and technological advancement.
Requirements
·Possession of a Bachelor's degree in
Electronics, Computer Science, Process Automation, or Robotics.
Alternatively, an equivalent combination with a Professional Engineer
(PE) license is acceptable.
·Demonstrated recognition as an expert
within your field, characterized by profound knowledge and exemplary
problem-solving acumen.
·A proven track record of successful
project delivery, spanning from conceptualization to FEED, within the
realm of process facilities.
·A minimum of 3 years' experience in
a lead engineer or design engineering manager capacity.
Specific Skills
·Proficiency in modeling and simulating
complex process systems, encompassing both stationary and dynamic
environments.
·Exceptional expertise in C&I (automation),
particularly within the process industry.
·Demonstrated capability
in analyzing (measurement) data adeptly, leveraging insights to
enhance system performance and identify root causes effectively.
