Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer - Nuclear

Contract 12 Months

Glasgow, UK (Hybrid, 2 days/week onsite)

IR35 : Inside

Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Glasgow/Hybrid.

Role Purpose:

The role involves working with a Client specialising in designing large-scale process and treatment facilities for the safe handling of legacy nuclear materials. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain safety standards for one of our key clients in the nuclear sector.

Job Role Responsibilities :

• Support Control & Instrumentation (C&I) engineering projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide technical expertise on control systems, instrumentation, and safety engineering.
• Conduct assessments and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay updated on industry developments in C&I engineering.
• Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in C&I engineering.
• Safety SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person).
• Professional Engineering license (PE) preferred.
• Experience in critical infrastructure projects (such as defense or government facilities) is advantageous.
